At Inclusiveplay.com, we believe great play brings children together. But in many settings, budgets, space constraints, and the disruption caused by fixed installations make it difficult to create play opportunities that genuinely work for everyone.

Snug Play was introduced to make inclusive, engaging play easier to deliver in schools, children’s venues, and community spaces across the UK and Europe.

Designed around "loose parts" and open-ended play theory, Snug Play offers modular indoor and outdoor play equipment for schools, nurseries and kids clubs. Children can move, connect and reinvent the pieces every day—so play emerges naturally rather than being prescribed. This supports creativity, movement, collaboration and imagination, while helping children play together. Why we brought Snug Play to the UK & Europe

We were looking for a play resource that was simple to introduce, easy to adapt, and inclusive by design — without a “right way” to play. Something practical for everyday use, yet flexible enough to support a wide range of ages, abilities, and settings.

Snug Play was designed in the UK following a three-year study into children’s natural play behaviours. The result is a system that supports shared play through building, climbing, storytelling, and exploration — together, rather than apart. Key design principles include:

  • No fixed installation and no specialist surfacing required

  • Fully mobile — suitable for indoor or outdoor use depending on space and weather

  • Durable, water-resistant materials, with simple storage to keep systems looking their best

  • Modular kits that evolve as children grow and needs change

  • Inclusive by design, enabling children of different abilities to play side-by-side

Customer Feedback- Community Group

'The purchase of Snug has proven to be a fantastic investment, enabling us to provide an exciting, mobile play service which is unique to the isolated area of Holderness.'
(Andy Steele, Withernsea & Holderness Play Action)

Customer Feedback - Primary School

Snug provides new learning opportunities across many curriculum areas including maths, literacy, PE and design technology. For example, older pupils carried out a project on shelters and built models using various pieces of Snug. Soon afterwards, younger children were using the same shelters for free play, highlighting it's versatility and how it appeals to all age groups'
(Sue Vyvyan, Head teacher)

Customer Feedback - Teacher

'It's absolutely unheard of for the whole group to play together like that. I've never seen anything like it. This is fantastic because they've never really gelled as a group before.'
